Melissa & Doug Play Perks Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: May 21, 2025

PLEASE READ THESE PLAY PERKS TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“Play Perks Terms”) CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THEM BEFORE USING THE PLAY PERKS PROGRAM (“Program”). THESE PLAY PERKS TERMS ARE SUBJECT TO AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER. 

The Program is offered by Melissa & Doug, LLC (together with its representatives, employees, agents, and service providers (“Melissa & Doug”, “we”, “us” or “our”) to eligible individuals. While we call it “Play Perks,” please keep in mind this Program is for adults at least 18 years old (or older if the age of majority is higher than 18 in your state). These Play Perks Terms govern your participation in the Program. Creating and/or accessing your Melissa & Doug account, otherwise participating in the Program, or clicking to accept these Play Perks Terms constitutes your full agreement to these Play Perks Terms, including the Additional Terms described below that form part of these Play Perks Terms. We may update these Play Perks Terms from time to time and your continuing participation in the Program represents your consent to the then-current version of these Play Perks Terms.  

Additional Terms

These Play Perks Terms incorporate the Melissa & Doug Terms of Use, and the Melissa & Doug Arbitration Agreement. (“Additional Terms”). The Arbitration Agreement requires binding arbitration for any disputes with us or in connection with these Play Perks Terms, and waives your right to bring a class action against us. Please review the Arbitration Agreement carefully. These Play Perks Terms do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement that you may have with us, including any agreement for products or services.  Your access to and participation in the Program is also governed by the terms, conditions, limitations and requirements linked in these Play Perks Terms, all of which (as may be changed over time) are incorporated into these Play Perks Terms. In the event of any conflict between the Melissa & Doug Terms of Use and these Play Perks Terms, these Play Perks Terms will control.  

We collect certain personal information from you to be able to offer the Program to you. You acknowledge and understand we will process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Statement.  

Eligibility

To be eligible for participation in the Program, you must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or District of Columbia and at least eighteen (18) years of age (or older if the age of majority is higher than 18 in your state). The Program is available only to individuals for their personal use and is limited to one (1) account per individual. Neither membership nor rewards are transferable. Employees and contractors of Melissa & Doug, and their immediate family members living in the same household, are not eligible to participate in the Program. The Program is void where prohibited or restricted by law. 

Program Accounts

When you create an account with Melissa & Doug at checkout on Melissaanddoug.com or at one of our store locations, you will automatically be enrolled in the Program and become a “Member” of the Program to the extent you meet the eligibility requirements above. You are not required to take any actions in connection with the Program. If you do not wish to participate, you may opt out at any time by contacting us at [email protected].  

If you would like to create an account separately from a purchase, you may do so online at https://wjsbkwhc.top/account/register. You will need to create a username and password and provide us with your name, email address, and telephone number in order to create an account. During the course of your participation in the Program, you may update your personal information by logging in to your online account. Members are solely responsible for keeping their profile information current. There is a limit of one account per eligible participant. You may not create multiple accounts using different email addresses or personas. Membership is non-transferable and Member purchases must be made by the account holder in order to receive Program benefits.  

Program Tiers 

The Program is a three-tiered loyalty rewards program, with a VIP tier one (“Explorer”), a VIP tier two (“Adventurer”) and a VIP tier three (“Innovator”). When you create your Melissa & Doug account and are enrolled in the Program, you will automatically become an Explorer. There is no purchase, payment, or credit card required to sign up for, join, and/or participate as an Explorer. Explorers can advance to Adventurer or Innovator by making Qualifying Purchases during a rolling 12-month basis in the amounts listed below and by participating in certain program activities, as listed in the “Additional Way to Earn Points” section below.  

Qualifying purchase amounts per 12-month rolling period:  

• Explorer = $0 to $149
• Adventurer = $150- $349
• Innovator + $350+

Earning Points 

You must have a Melissa & Doug account in order to begin earning points. Each time you log in to your account and make purchases on MelissaandDoug.com or at one of our store locations you will earn reward points based on dollars spent, excluding shipping and taxes (“Qualifying Purchase”). You must be logged in to your Melissa & Doug account prior to checkout through one of the authentication methods (e.g., directly through Melissa & Doug, Shop Pay). Your tier status will be determined based upon spend during a rolling 12-month basis, which 12 consecutive month basis is determined by your initial date of sign-up for the Program.  

• Explorers: you will earn 1 point per $1 dollar spent on merchandise
• Adventurers: you will earn 1.25 points per $1 spent on merchandise
• Innovators: you will earn 1.5 points per $1 dollar spent on merchandise
  

Points will be awarded based on the actual price paid for purchases, rounded down to the nearest whole dollar, excluding tax, shipping charges, and fees. For example, if you are an Explorer and your purchase total was $127.78 before taxes and after deducting any fee credits or applicable discounts, then you will earn 127 points. Points cannot be earned on purchases of gift cards or purchases made with store credits. 

You may earn additional points by engaging in certain activities, as described in the “Additional Ways to Earn Points” section below.  

Please allow up to 48 hours for your points to appear on your account page. 

Points Redemption 

Points may be redeemed for discount credits (“Rewards”) in connection with a Melissa & Doug purchase of a value exceeding the discounted amount shown below: 

100 points = $5 off

200 points = $10 off

400 points = $20 off

500 points = $25 off

600 points = $30 off

700 points = $25 off

800 points - $40 off 

The more points you accrue, the more value you can receive! You can redeem as little or as many points, as long as they fall within the available increments. 

To view your points, you will need to log in to your Melissa & Doug account. Your point total will be indicated next to your name and also available under the “Play Perks VIP Club” section of your account. Points may be used to acquire certain Program benefits. Points and benefits will change from time to time, and some may be offered on a limited basis. 

To redeem, within the rewards dropdown at checkout you must select and apply the number of points you would like to use towards your purchase. Subject to certain exceptions below, your Rewards will be automatically applied to your order. You can view unused Rewards within your Rewards History in your account.

Points Expiration

Note that all points expire annually based on the date you earned those points. For example, if you made a purchase and earned points on June 5, 2025, the points earned that day will expire on June 4, 2026.

Excluded Items and Restrictions

Points are redeemable only in connection with a merchandise purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, or used towards the payment of applicable taxes, shipping and handling, or to purchase gift cards or e-gift cards.

Points must be calculated at the time of purchase and cannot be awarded after-purchase, for example if you made a purchase without first signing into your Melissa & Doug account. Points will not be applied to orders placed before enrollment in the Program.

The following limitations also apply: (1) Only one Reward may be used per order; (2) Rewards may not be redeemed towards the payment of applicable taxes, shipping and handling, purchase of gift cards, or other items as designated by Melissa & Doug online or for specific items; (3) Melissa & Doug reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, to determine whether Rewards may be redeemed; and (4) Rewards cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions, unless explicitly stated in the terms of a specific promotion.

If you return an item from a Qualifying Purchase for a refund to your original method of payment or an order is canceled, the accumulated points in your Program account will be reduced in an amount equal to the points originally earned for that purchase. In the case of a multi-item purchase, which results in a partial return, the accumulated points in your Program account will be reduced in an amount equal to the points originally earned and attributable to the refunded and/or canceled items when first purchased. Points credited to your account will be decreased or reversed, as applicable, if all or part of your Qualifying Purchase is canceled or if a credit refund is obtained through fraudulent or other activity that violates these Play Perks Terms.

Any rewards and benefits (including, for example, tier benefits such as early access to product launches or surprise gifts) offered under the Program are subject to change at any time at our sole discretion. Melissa & Doug is not responsible for Program benefits that are not received as a result of loss or if you don’t maintain accurate personal information with us, and such benefits will not be reissued.

Points accumulated under the Program and Rewards are promotional in nature, have no cash value, cannot be sold, and are non-transferable. Only the Program Member who is paying for the Qualifying Purchase may accumulate Rewards and benefits and only the Program Member may redeem Rewards that have accumulated in that Member's account. The sale, barter, transfer or assignment of any Reward or benefit offered through the Program, other than by Melissa & Doug, is expressly prohibited and will be cause for termination of your participation in the Program.

We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your account or Rewards that may be lost or redeemed as the result of any fraudulent activity. In the event that an order is canceled by Melissa & Doug, please reach out to our customer care team to ensure that your points in your account are accurately adjusted. Please note, if you use your points to get a Reward and then use that Reward to purchase something, you will not get your points back if you return the item you purchased.

We reserve the right to determine the Rewards in any Program Member's account based upon our internal records related to such Member's account. A Member's Rewards shall be deemed correct and accurate as reflected in our records and our good faith determination of the number of Rewards available to any Member shall be final and binding.

Additional Ways to Earn Points 

As a Member of the Program, you will earn points through a series of actions and/or referrals that can be redeemed as a discount on a future Melissa & Doug purchase. See below for more information on how you can earn points. 

 

 

*Referral Program Terms: Spend $49 or more in a single order, and both you and your referred friend will each receive 200 points, which can be used to redeem a $10 Reward to use on a future order. You can refer multiple friends, but each referral may only be redeemed once. Points will be awarded after the referred friend completes a qualifying purchase of $49 or more. Points cannot be redeemed for cash and must be used according to these Play Perk Terms. Exclusions and restriction apply, in accordance with the “Excluded Items and Restrictions” section of these Play Perk Terms. This offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts. 

Confidentiality

You must treat your account or other information provided to you as part of our security measures as confidential and may not share your username or password with any third party. You agree not to provide any other person with access to your account or portions of it using your username, password, or other security information. You are responsible for any use or misuse of the Melissa & Doug Website and/or your account that is undertaken by someone using your username and password (unless such person improperly obtained your username and password from us). You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your username or password or any other breach of security. You also agree to ensure that you logout of your account at the end of each session. You should use particular caution when accessing your account from a public or shared computer so that others are not able to view or record your password or other personal information.  

Communications

By enrolling in the Program, and subject to your opt-out preferences, you will be automatically subscribed to receive marketing emails from Melissa & Doug, including Program-related communications.

You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from Melissa & Doug at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email to manage your preferences or as otherwise provided in our Privacy Policy. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not limit our ability to communicate with you by email regarding order details, updates to these Play Perks Terms or the Additional Terms, or legally required notifications.

Privacy

We value and respect your privacy. The personal information that we collect from you in connection with the Program will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Statement, including for the purpose of administering the Program, providing you with any Rewards or benefits under the Program, and marketing in connection with the Program.

Notice of Financial Incentive

For California and Colorado Residents: Under applicable privacy laws in California and Colorado, the Program may be considered a “financial incentive” or “loyalty program” under applicable privacy laws. Melissa & Doug does not discriminate or retaliate against individuals for choosing not to participate in this Program, for choosing to end participation in the Program, or for exercising any of their rights under the applicable privacy laws. You may withdraw from the Program at any time without any changes to the quality of service we provide you or the prices for our products.

We collect and retain personal information to support and fulfill the Program, which may include information in the following categories:

• Identifiers (e.g., name, email, phone)
• Commercial information (e.g., purchase history)
• Internet or other electronic network activity information (e.g., IP address, pages visited)
• Geolocation data (e.g., general location information derived from IP address)
• Inferences (e.g., insights drawn by analyzing data about an individual to predict or understand aspects of their behavior, preferences, or characteristics)

As a part of your participation in the Program, Melissa & Doug is required by law to provide you with a good faith estimate of your data’s value. Melissa & Doug determines the value of your personal information in exchange for the Rewards by calculating the: (a) marginal value to the business of the collection or deletion of a consumer's data; (b) average value to the business of the collection or deletion of a consumer's data or a typical consumer's data; (c) revenue generated by the business from the collection or retention of consumers' personal information; and (d) profit generated by the business from the collection, or retention of consumers' personal information.

Program Termination, Cancellation or Modification

You should review these Play Perks Terms and the related FAQs frequently to understand the terms and conditions of the Program as they may change from time to time. When we make revisions or modifications to the Play Perks Terms or related FAQs, they will be posted at MelissaandDoug.com and will be effective immediately upon posting.

The Program and its benefits are offered at Melissa & Doug's sole discretion. We may terminate, cancel, modify or restrict these Play Perks Terms and/or the Program or any aspect of it at any time, in our sole discretion and with or without prior notice to you, even if any such actions by us may affect the value of rewards or benefits already accumulated or earned and/or the ability to redeem earned rewards that had already accumulated.

If you decide that you no longer want to participate in the Program, you may cancel your membership at any time by contacting our customer service team at [email protected]. Any accrued points and/or unused rewards will be forfeited and expire immediately upon your membership cancellation.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to terminate any Member from the Program for any reason, including but not limited to, a Member's failure to comply with these Play Perks Terms, including any of the Additional Terms. any suspected misuse of the Program, illegal activity, fraud or other conduct that we may deem to be inconsistent with these Play Perks Terms and/or the Program.

If your membership in the Program is canceled by you or terminated by us, you will lose all accrued points, rewards, and benefits in your account at the time of such cancellation or termination.
