Through our toy donations, volunteer hours, and philanthropic efforts, we strive to make the world a better place for children.
At Melissa & Doug, we believe in sharing the power of play, whether it’s through in-kind toy donations, spending a playful day volunteering with our coworkers in the community, or supporting inclusive initiatives that help children thrive. Here are some of the ways we’re doing good in the world.
Access to open-ended, screen-free play is essential for children everywhere. In 2022, we donated nearly 5,000 toys to various charitable organizations around the world.
Donated six pallets of toys to the Children's Home Society of New Jersey to help at-risk children.
Gave puzzles, arts & crafts activities, and classic toys to the Center for Family Justice, to help families in crisis.
Gave stuffed animals and other toys to the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation (JAJF), for kids facing the terminal illness of a parent.
Contributed 300 items to 6-year-old Marty Cox’s children’s hospital toy drive.
Donated 500+ pretend play toys, puzzles, and plush to the South Brunswick Police Department, for kids in need.
We love when we can provide our associates opportunities to volunteer and give back to the community. In 2022, our associates volunteered 494 hours globally to help the planet and its children.
Partnered with Soundwaters to remove 107 pounds of trash from the Connecticut coastline.
Stocked backpacks with school supplies for Mid-Fairfield Community Care Center.
Planted, watered, and mulched the Norwalk River Valley Trail, with One Tree Planted.
Built flower beds from recycled pallets in the U.K. for a local school.
Collected and packed up over 4,300 meals for Filling in the Blanks, to feed kids in need.
Our philanthropy efforts are mainly focused on supporting organizations that directly help children thrive.
Sponsor of the Wilton True Warriors, a local adaptive baseball team for children who may not otherwise get to experience the love of the game.
Donated $200,000 to the Toy Foundation Relief Fund for Ukrainian children.
Supported the Toy Trust in helping disadvantaged children by raising funds for the Hasbro in the Community Football and Netball Tournament.
The UK office participated in "Wear it Pink," raising money for Breast Cancer Now and enjoying an afternoon of food and fun.
